Hygienic wall
cladding systems were traditionally only installed in
commercial kitchens, its use has been expanded to many
different areas such as changing areas, showers, hotel
bathrooms, public buildings, nursing homes and hospitals.
The expansion from a mainly commercial environment to
public and domestic installations has been due to the ever
increasing need to create virtually maintenance free
solutions and also the expansion in the product range
providing an attractive range of patterns / pastels and
solid colours with associate trims.
Cladding is now often used in preference to ceramic tiles
as it provides a maintenance free solution, impervious to
water, no discolouration of grout. Altro have carried out
research on a cost comparison between tiling and Altro
Whiterock and have published a white paper on this which is
available from our downloads section.
The installation of Altro Whiterock can transform an area
within a few days from being a dirty environment to a clean
hygienic environment. Once the installation is complete the
area can be used immediate without waiting for drying or a
second stage of finishing such as grouting.
